“There is a phrase from a Sanskrit verse—‘Na tasya pratimā asti’ which loosely translates to ‘There is no image of Him (the creator)’, that was the point for me to think artistically and create a choreography with elements that are formless,” says Parwati Dutta, a kathak and Odissi dancer and choreographer of Pratimāna—an event that celebrates choreographic works in Odissi dance.
